Company: Our client is providing an innovative marketplace that is leveraging AI/ML and 3 distinct patents to provide the most transparent and low pricing available for everyday travelers. They are on track to hit $1B in valuation and hoping to go public by next year! They are hiring a VP of Engineering to report directly to the CTO.

Location: 100% remote role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead 3 direct and 40 indirect reports
  • Build, develop and scale engineering teams capable of carrying out needed engineering initiatives
  • Collaborate with the company's executive leadership to develop and meet organizational goals while supplying expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems

 

Candidate’s should have most of the following skills:

  • 10+ years in software development with 5+ years of managing a team of engineers
  • Strong organizational leadership skills, highly collaborative with excellent communication (written and verbal), leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Global Distributed Systems like Sabre, Worldspan, Apollo GD
  • Background in Travel/Hospitality Industry is a huge plus!
